About the partnership

The Power of Three

In the UK today, around 4 million people are living with Type 2 diabetes, and an estimated 7 million people are living with heart and circulatory disease.

Did you know that having Type 2 diabetes can double your risk of developing heart and circulatory disease?

That’s why Diabetes UK, the British Heart Foundation and Tesco are working together to raise funds to inspire millions of people to eat better, get active and reduce their risk of developing these largely preventable conditions. We want to help people learn new ways of cooking, how to fit activity into their daily lives and look after their health.

Diabetes UK is the leading UK diabetes charity that cares for, connects with and campaigns alongside people with or at risk of diabetes.

British Heart Foundation (BHF) is the UK’s number one heart charity leading the fight against cardiovascular disease through research, information and support.

Tesco wants to make it a little bit easier for customers and colleagues to live more healthily. One way we can do this is by creating partnerships with health experts like Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation that support prevention and cure for the biggest health challenges we face.

By working together, we’re combining the charities’ expertise in health with Tesco’s ability to speak to people in local communities across the UK. This gives us a unique opportunity to encourage the nation to make healthier choices in the way they live their lives.
