National Charity Partnership

Tesco, Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation have come together to help the nation make healthier choices.

Our National Charity Partnership

The National Charity Partnership ended on 4th January 2018. We'd like to thank all our Tesco colleagues and customers who helped raise money to reduce the nation's risk of Type 2 diabetes and heart disease. 

Our three year partnership between Diabetes UK, the British Heart Foundation and Tesco – the first of its kind in the charity sector – raised more than £25 million and helped to improve the lives of around one million people.

Tesco colleagues and customers across the UK helped to raise this amount, which has been used to help people reduce their risk of Type 2 diabetes and heart disease. Running from January 2015 until January 2018, this ground-breaking partnership was led by a central team which designed and delivered a series of prevention activities on behalf of all three organisations.

In January 2018 a new partnership between the British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK, Diabetes UK and Tesco was launched to help lower the risk of heart and circulatory disease, cancer and Type 2 diabetes.
